China Eastern Airlines Reports Q1 Soaring Profit, Beating Expectations

China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd, one of China's leading carriers, has reported Monday a net profit of 770 million yuan in the first quarter of 2010, with an 1819.83% increase year-on-year. The net profit excluding non-recurring gains and losses hit 0.07 a share, the highest in recent years.

The Q1 net profits exceed the total net profits of the company in 2009, beating China International Capital Corporation's expectation of 540 million yuan earlier this year.
