Shanghai GM Plans to Recall 9,824 Buick Enclave Vehicles

»Shanghai GM plans to recall 9.824 imported Buick Enclave vehicles in China’s
mainland to fix a variety of potential safety defects, the car maker said in a
telephone interview.

»The recall involves Buick Enclave vehicles that produced between May 1, 2009
and May 220, 2010.

»China’s Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine
said yesterday in statement that the recall is due to design flaws that may lead
to possible damage of outer skin or cause the lock not to be able to lock or
unlock normally. In the case, the seat belt will not work normally, affecting
users’ safety.

»It had sold 3,877 units of Buick Enclave during the period of January ~July,
the company said.
