China's FDI May Exceed $100Bln in 2010
»China’s foreign direct investment may exceed 100 billion U.S. dollars this year, compared with 90 billion U.S. dollars last year, Xinhua reported Sunday, citing a government official from the Ministry of Commerce.
»Refuting rumors about deteriorating business environment in China, Shen Danyang, vice director of the general office of the Minsitry of Commerce argued that China’s utilized FDI last year slightly declined 2.6 percent compared with the 40 percent plummet of global investment.
»China utilized 58.35 billion U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment in the first seven months this year, up 20.65 percent year-on-year, according to data from the Ministry of Commerce.
» “FDI for the whole 2010 is expected to exceed 100 billion U.S. dollars,” Shen said.
