Running a clean beauty brand and those generic "get 10% off" popups never felt right for our positioning. Customers would sign up just for the discount then never engage again.
Switched to educational popups that quiz people about their skin concerns and ingredient knowledge. Way more work to set up but the results have been insane. using the alia app for this though the setup learning curve was steeper than expected.
Now people actually want to join our email list because they're getting personalized recommendations. Our welcome flow revenue is up 40% and the email engagement is night and day different.
Anyone else moved away from discount popups? Would love to hear what worked for other beauty brands.
From 2% to 18% email signups by ditching discount popups

Offering discounts and and cutting costs to get more clients and signups is almost always a race to the bottom. Never ends well if you’re new.
