So, for years I have always thought that I needed to cover as much people as possible because after all – more customers = more revenue, right?

After reading a fair few business books recently, the common denominator seems to be the smaller you can niche down and nurture a small selection of that niche…the more people come!

This goes against every brain urge in my head, but has anyone been successful with this? Especially when you might just be starting off/small.

Please no posting links – genuine advice needed 🙂

Would you rather launch with a super narrow niche and expand later, or start broad and niche down?

I think its better to start small, then expand, same with price, set it low, then adjust according to demand

    2. it’s easier to start as a village and grow into a city than the other way around.

It’s better to make something for a small group that really cares than to try and please everyone. If you can’t get 100 people to love your thing, you won’t get 1000s to care either. Once you win that small group, growing bigger happens more naturally it’s the flywheel effect, the momentum builds on itself.

Start with a super narrow niche, establish reputation, get better at what you do, expand slowly

Start narrow and grow later. Focusing on a small niche lets you really understand your audience, build trust, and create tailored offers. Once you’ve nailed that, expanding to a broader market is way easier than trying to appeal to everyone from day one.

It’s super easy, starting broad doesn’t work. So don’t do it.
