This doesn’t mean anything, we already knew that the Trumpers would do what Trump says. This will be meaningful if one of the others says something similar.

    2. The fed bending the knee to Trump is bad practice for the American economy. The U.S. economy is built on trust in institutions, and the Fed’s independence is one of the reasons we have avoided the worst outcomes other countries face. The minute investors think the White House can fire Fed governors at will, confidence in the dollar and Treasuries evaporates. That fragility is exactly why central bank independence has been the bedrock of stability and growth in the U.S.

They literally cut rates for Biden right before elections 🤣 and no one complained then

    4. Waller dissented in July. This doesn’t mean much. He’s basically saying he will vote the way he voted then.

I don’t see rates cut happening at all. This is just the act tricks to keep rates high.

    6. i mean… if the projections from june stay on track then we still have 2x 25 basis point cuts left… and with only 3 meetings left this year, then that falls in line with what’s being said.

We finally get to a point where lowering interest rates make some after waiting a year & the number of people actually mad about it on here is amazing 😂
