    1. The loan originator or the loan officer is the person that structures the loan, explains to the borrower what they’re qualified for and sell them on the terms of the loan. They in turn submit the file to the processor who will gather all the proper documentation so that it can it be reviewed and approved by the underwriter. If the loan officer and the processor do their jobs properly, the easier it is for the underwriter to go through the file to issue the final approval.
