I’ve been digging into the headaches small businesses deal with around staying compliant. Stuff like license renewals, health and safety checklists, industry-specific forms, and so on. A lot of it still seems pretty manual or scattered across different systems

I’m exploring the idea of building something like a compliance copilot. Not a full-on legal platform. More like a smart checklist or tracker that helps businesses stay ahead of deadlines and avoid fines. Maybe automated reminders, license tracking, even an form filling down the road

Not trying to pitch anything here. Just wondering Have any of you run into these kinds of problems before Are there tools you’ve seen or used that actually work What would a solution have to do to be genuinely useful and not just another dashboard

Would love to hear any thoughts or gut reactions. Even if you think this space is too crowded or not worth it I appreciate the honesty

Anyone here built or used tools for automating small business compliance

We currently are using spreadsheets to manage training/ continuing education requirements.
We use Gusto for HR, they have training tracking but only from the courses they offer or partner LMSs. As training comes from various sources from private training companies, online, or seminars at a conference we can’t rely on any one training vendor to help us with it.

Ideally it would need be something that could not only track taken course/ certifications but track refresher requirements along with CECs. Then allow for planning to how those CECs would get earned.

We are in the construction/ remediation business, btw. Hope that helps.
