A couple of weeks ago I applied for the Chase freedom unlimited before my Chase freedom rise upgrade date because I wanted the SUB. Today was my 1 year mark and was told 2 days ago by a Chase representative that I can product change to the Chase freedom OG. I called Chase today and talked to 2 different people, 1 telling me I can’t product change this card, and another telling me I can only change to the CSP, CSR, and freedom unlimited. What should or can I do with my old freedom rise?

Just wait a day and call again. I’m not personally sure if the Rise can PC to the OG Freedom but honestly, it wouldn’t shock me if the reps were just making things up. They often have no idea what card the OG Freedom even is. I had to explain it several times when I PC’d my CFU to it.
Try asking in secure message.
Did they approve you for the Unlimited?
You can either keep calling back until you get someone that is willing to PC you or accept the PC to the Unlimited and then later, maybe a statement period start trying to get to the OG card again.
try again and ask for the visa freedom with 5% cats, took me a few tries to find a agent who could pc my flex to the og.
Has your Freedom Rise actually been upgraded yet? I would wait until you get the upgraded CFU in the mail, then call. You may need to HUCA a few times.
Hello OP just to add my experience. My CFR did not upgrade to CFU for an unknown reason (even chase rep dont know why it did not upgrade) i ask if i can PC to the chase OG freedom and was advised I cant since i need 5k above CL on my CFR. The rep then offered to upgrade my CFR to Chase Freedom Flex which i agreed. Its now a MC and my card # was changed. I have been using the card for more than 4 months now & its been great. My credit history and credit file remains the same. I know you want the OG Freedom but i guess the CFF is a great card also.
