I just graduated university (after 9 years of higher education) and had commencment on May 2, 2025. Federal Student Aid has scheduled repayment start date as 10/26/25 (but nothing shows up on aidvantage yet). This is my first time going through this process so any information will be nice.
I heard that I should wait until close to repayment date to change my repayment plan because my grace period would end immediately. Therefore, I am curious on what date I should actually change my repayment plan so that it takes effect in time to maxime my grace time but that it will not be too late to change
Also, regarding PSLF, I know I technically have to wait 10 years to "apply" for it, but I know I have to certify employment yearly. When is this done? I have a job in a state agency so not too worried about it qualifying.
Any help and information is much appreciated as I am a first-generation everything.
When should I sign up for income driven repayment plan/PSLF?

I think I’ve seen apply 45 days before the end of your grace period using the pdf application. (The online application won’t go through until you’ve entered repayment.)
It is recommended to certify your employment annually or whenever you switch jobs.
