Hi. I'm in my final 2 years of my doctoral psychology program, and thanks to the president's changes to FAFSA, I have no way of taking care of myself/paying tuition. Unfortunately, I have to take out a private loan. Do you guys have any recommendations on what the best private loan option would be? I go to a small private school in Southern California, and the cost of my attendance is estimated at $84,000 a year.
I don't think I'd need to take that much, but is there a company (Navient, Sallie Mae, etc) you guys would recommend? I literally just got told by my school's financial aid that the $15,000 I was expecting from FAFSA I get per semester for living expenses (I also renewed my lease 2 weeks ago thinking everything was cool with FAFSA, so that's GREAT!!!!!) and I need to do this NOW so I can avoid eviction.
Please help if you can!

>There’s also a grandfathering clause built into the Senate bill, which would allow borrowers who already have at least one Grad PLUS loan prior to June 30, 2026, to [continue borrowing](https://thecollegeinvestor.com/58537/grad-plus-loans-could-be-ending-in-2026/) until the end of their program, or three academic years, which ever is first.
