I am being honest, if you are not from a coding background, vibe coding is going to become a trap you are setting up for yourself. AI can definitely code, but in the end, you still need a developer to fix and put together whatever you have in your mind. You spend more time fixing than building.

Yes, of course, it's a boon if you are not thinking about scalability or are just looking to launch an MVP, but it all circles back to the same thing.

What you get is over-reliance on tools, technical debts, and hidden costs.

Vibe Coding is a trap you are setting up for yourself.

    1. Just make sure you pick a stable ai model before you start vibecoding, a model can be good now and become super stupid in a just a few hours as they “tune it down” to support the infrastructure, i use tools like aistupidlevel.info every time before i start a vibe coding session just so i can preserve my nerves for the day :))

I’m not a techie …I see vibe coding as a cheap and fast way to build super simple prototypes to show prospects…..then I will get developers to build

It’s a tool to help developers become more efficient, but it’s not good enough to replace a developer.

    4. I’m not a full coder, I tried to 3 years ago but my head just cannot memorize it, I learnt the hard way I needed a techie but since in my niche it was quite a rarity to find one that can’t command anything other than equity it was such a hard challenge, so I ended up vibecoding , I knew it wouldn’t ever be the full blown product, im just using it for an proof of concept and from investor experience they really dont care if your prototype/poc is duck taped so long as you can prove it solves a problem and that there’s a market for it and that you are daring enough to do it.

MVP -> market validation -> technical co-founder or hire for indie project/side gig.. this is how a lot of ‘vibe coders’ see ai.

I don’t think people see vibe coding as a way to build a very complex enterprise solution with consistent feature rollouts while onboarding thousands of users. It’s a conflated view of how non-technical people use ai, used to make developers feel better about their reduced scope in the software space.

Also, you can definitely vibe code automations, internal tools or dashboards for your organisation/department without the need for a developer.

There’re different levels. Ai-only builds have their place. Developers pretend that non-technical people are dunces that believe Ai will do absolutely everything, this is far from the truth, it’s just copium.

Yeah but here’s what I’m finding as I am vibe coding. It’s very much a way of promoting to get a lot done and it’s getting smarter by the day.

All developers should immediately focus on AI and providing easy integrations for people if they want to stay relevant.

    8. Vibe coded apps are often spaghetti slop beyond human comprehension

Once you get real dev its easier to start over so vibe coded app ends up being something like Figma project

    9. Out of curiosity when you are non technical but use vibe coding do you not get more technical over time?
