For those of you who were laid off and haven’t been able to find a job for over a year, how are you managing your loans?

    I was recently laid off like many others, and I’m worried about being unemployed long-term based on what I’m hearing—potentially even 2 years or more given the tough job market in the US.

    1. If you have no income you can apply for an income driven plan and get a $0 monthly payment for 12 months before you need to recertify your income. Keep in mind that interest will still accrue.
