I was stopped at a red light and was rear ended, minor injuries (whiplash) and just overall very uncomfortable for the past few weeks (trouble sleeping, unable to pickup my kids, lacking on household chores etc) and the other insurance company already took full liability. What’s a reasonable/normal settlement to ask for? I’ve had 2 telehealth Dr visits (my Dr had no in person options) and have been using topical pain meds, Tylenol and heat/ice to treat my whiplash. My car luckily just has a small dent in the bumper which is getting fixed.

500 bucks?
I can’t imagine any treatment meaning less than telehealth for an injury.
Reasonable medical costs + $500 to $1,000 is what I’d expect for basic soft tissue injuries with little to no treatment.
To ad I lost 2 days of work, which is almost $600 just in lost wages
A small dent? You’re likely to get $1,000 or less. Minor impacts bring into question mechanism of injury. But prior injuries or pre-existing injuries could add value.
What state?
Two telehealth visits? Maybe $500-$1K for the frustrations of going through an accident, I’d pay your lost wages with verification of what you get paid, and then set aside an extra $5K for medical billing for anything additional you get within a month.
As others have said, with this level of treatment it’s probably not a large settlement. If you are still injured don’t feel in a rush to settle. Many states have at least two years before you need to settle the claim/file in court. Get treatment and then submit the medical bills when you’re done. If you wait too long for treatment you’ll face treatment gap arguments. Can also talk to an attorney to get an idea of what the claim might be worth; they may tell you the same thing but consults are usually free and won’t hurt to get an extra pair of eyes on it.
I had a scenario like that and thought it was minor but the pain didn’t go away. A lot of physical therapy and two MRI later and I found out I had disc issues. Two years later, still having impacts and limitations from that whiplash. There’s a lot of force at play when a car hits a stopped vehicle.
expect maybe $1000-1200 pain and suffering plus your actual medical bills paid.
no real injury, but a nuisance payment for you to go away.
I once had a similar accident. Achy for a couple of weeks taking Tylenol. Got $750. But that was years ago. Adjusting for inflation your claim may be worth $1000. Ask for $1500 and take what you get.
And by the way, make sure you are fully recovered before you start talking money with an adjuster.
If you are still achy after a few weeks you would be wise to see a doctor face to face in case something else is happening.
