Hi, I am a mil-spouse, with a WA residency. My service member has residency in Georgia. We are PCSing to Georgia. I have a remote job with a WA company. I don’t want to give up my residency, neither does my service member. Militaryonesource is claiming that I would still have to pay taxes in Georgia while I am there since this state is my spouse’s residency, even if I keep WA as my residency. Does that sound right?
Would it change the case if we were pcsing to, say, NC?

No. You can keep your residency when you PCS.
Have you considered being WA residents for tax purposes? Your spouse can get their Georgia income taxes back because they can elect to have your state of residence for tax purposes. You can amend your taxes to do this for past years.

You can keep WA.
It might make sense for you and your SM to take WA as then you both won’t have to worry about state income tax.
