Without a substantial gig economy, I would be agree with him. The gig economy is expanding 3x faster than the total US workforce. Over 50% of the US workforce is likely to participate in the gig economy by 2027.
He has clearly missed accounting for the gig economy in his “proof”.

This forum already went through this discussion a few years ago and decreed that there is not, can’t be, SHALL BE NO recession until officially called by the NBER.
I don’t personally think that is fully the case, but the collective will of r/economics has spoken and that was their consensus along with most major media outlets and all those former Econ laureates they like dragging on screen.
