So I got an implant surgery and was estimated that my insurance would cover 775 of the 1600 surgery.

Well I was so drugged up as I left, I didn't realize I paid 1537 of the procedure. I look back at the estimate and my receipt to confirm that those procedure codes match.

I immediately take a photo of my receipt and my estimate then send it to my dentist office as I am confused. I doubt they will respond until tomorrow.

Then I check my insurance app Delta Dental. It says I have used 862.5 of my benefits for the year (1000 max). So I only have 137.50 left.

I am super confused. I had two office visits. One was a normal cleaning which isn't included in the maximum. During that visit I paid for a CT scan out of pocket for the implant. This is interesting as my claim says I should have paid 112.50 and Delta Dental should have paid 67.50 as insurance and 50.00 in deductible.

The other visit was a deeper cleaning. I looked at my claim and see that Delta Dental agree to pay for 159.00 of that procedure.

That doesn't add up to anywhere near 862.5 what could cause this that I don't see on the claims?

I sent them a ticket as they are closed, but I am freaking out a little.

My dental insurance is saying I almost maxed out my benefits. The math isn't mathing.
