17 years ago I left my job as a CTO on the west coast to be a sahd. I opened a one man consulting businsss so I had cash flow and a flexible schedule for drop offs, ballet, soccer, tutors ..
She leaves for college soon.
I'm in a place where I want to create something amazing beyond just solid cash flow. Use my wins, losses, mentorship, things I've read and people I have talked to over the years to build something bigger than myself. Has anyone else felt like this before?

I bet a lot of folks feel that pull to do something more, especially after big life changes. Makes you wonder what “enough” really means, right? Like, at what point do you say, “Okay, now I can focus on the bigger picture?” Good luck with your new venture!
Super cool that you still have this drive. It is definitely shared by many people. The idea of creating something larger than yourself is quite exotic. I’d love to hear more about what you want to do.
I get the drive, bud. I’m like that too. Some more chaos for me to thrive in. Keep the Peter principle in mind though. Don’t promote yourself beyond the capability of being able to handle your responsibilities.
