…And currencies, as any economist will tell you, work best when they’re stable.

Sure, there have been wild fluctuations, but for the most part, Doge really is stable enough to use as the currency it’s always been, and was always meant to be. This is, after all, Bitcoin with lots of improvements that put the original to shame.

So why am I writing this now?

Well, the topic came up over lunch when I did a little searching to make a point, and found this old post…

    https://old.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/534u7c/anyone_interested_in_buying_the_new_aussie_5/

I have always been more than happy to use Doge as money, both to buy and sell stuff. I’ve bought physical coins, USB sticks, mouse mats, purses, stickers, all manner of trinkets, digital art and such. I’ve even posted pictures of the swag from time to time. And I’ve sold stuff for Doge too, like these $5 notes. And then of course there was the #DogeV8, which like the NASCAR Dogecar was funded with Doge.

And I’m far from the only one using Doge as it was meant to be used. Lots of shibes have bought swag, food, clothing, miners, even autographed bits of the #DogeV8. Not to mention the various charitable projects we had which were funded solely with Dogecoins.

So if you’re one of the haters or one of the Hopium-smoking dollar dazzlers with your silly dreams of $1 or even more ridiculous prices, why don’t you forget that rubbish and start actually buying and selling stuff for Doge instead. Because it’s only a strong Dogeconomy that will realise the full potential of this awesome coin and the community that supported it and achieved so much against all odds.

People obsessing about ridiculous prices or hating on Doge for mistakenly believing it’s a memecoin all forget it’s actually a CURRENCY!
