Idk if this is the right page to post this but I’m looking into the military to find either a diesel, boat, or aircraft mechanic career. I’m currently a commercial fishermen which makes me lean towards boat mechanics but is there anyone with experience in the mechanical military field that could give me some tips on what to look for?

    1. Are you trying to get a job as a civilian for the military or enlist and get training then have that as a job?

You can enlist specifically into most fields. Though recruiters won’t always need or have slots in every field. And/or will want you as a number in a different one.

      Don’t let that dissuade you.

As far as path, the Coast Guard is a hidden gem for boat stuff, specifically locations. But jet mechanics are the most lucrative by far once you get out so consider that.
