To me, especially living in Las Vegas, an acknowledgement of a recession seems to be a given in due time. To people who are much more macro economically educated than myself, what are the odds of a hyperinflation event in the US in the next few years?

I find it curious that beef prices are rising rapidly yet exports are declining and production hasn’t declined. This would suggest there should be more domestic supply and thus lower prices. Yet the price increases are significant. So is it being stored or destroyed?
Projecting forward with declining grain export there should be even more feed and lower cost of production too.

I have been watching commodity prices. I had expected much higher inflation but I think because we have pushed down demand, it has worked against inflation for many commodities. Americas terrible reputation abroad may help us on groceries.
