This would have been the previously announced first “strong hybrid” which used an entirely electric powertrain with the ability to charge with a diesel engine? That sucks. It’s a good idea.

At least the PHEV still seems to be on the roadmap. That’ll be a good differentiator for them. I’d actually consider one of it weren’t a Ram since it would meet my needs of both daily driving on battery but long distance hauling without dealing with charging.
