Suez Canal has been in the limelight in recent times for all wrong reasons. However, this shipping canal is an essential part of world trade and helps the economies of hundreds of nations.
This Suez canal ship crossing video is of the time lapse video of the ship MV Ever Goods, which is the sister ship of MV Ever Given, the controversial ship involved in the recent blockage of the Suez canal. They are Evergreen biggest container ships. The video was captured by the Captian of the ship – Akee Sharma, when he took the yard delivery of the ship and in the same voyage safely crossed the Suez canal.
Sister ships are ships that are identical to each other and have the same specification, built by the same company or shipyard.
In a day, different types of ship do the crossing of the Suez canal to avoid a longer passage of cape of good hope, which not only saves the cost.
