Unbelievable that MAGA makes an enemy of socialism while building in communism. Seriously, though, is MAGA ever going to try and think for themselves or is it fully whatever Trump tells them? Because this is looney tunes.

Just remind me, was CHIPS act not also state capitalism? I mean buying shares in the company is somewhat uncommon but not unprecedented for the US govt, and to act like the major defense contractors aren’t de facto arms of the US govt is also disingenuous.

Chinese capitalism is doing better than American capitalism anyway. China is pulling millions of people out of poverty in record time while wealth inequality keeps growing in the US. The top 1% in America holds all the wealth.
Go look at Chinese cities and how beautiful they look compared to American trash. America has fent zombies in every city, shitting and pissing all over everything.
China is set to overtake the US economy soon, and America will fade into irrelevancy and chaos. America will be an example for what the history books on how bad you can fuck yourselves when you let greed and individualism control everything.

the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) explicitly enshrines the concept of a “socialist market economy” (社会主义市场经济).
In the 1993 amendment, the PRC Constitution was revised to state that:
“The State has put into practice a socialist market economy.”
This phrase appears in Article 15 of the Constitution.
So the West shoehorn in the word capitalism as a cope.

Trump is the President. He can’t model anything. He works within the rules that are given to the office. He may try to work outside the parameters that have been set 250 years ago in Article 2 of the constitution but he won’t be successful. His arrogance makes him think he can but he can’t. The only power he has is veto and executive orders.

Except that Trump is pairing state capitalism with extreme austerity and redistribution of resources from the middle class to the rich. This is kleptocracy and National Socialism. There’s lots of criticism to be had of China, but they at least care about their workers and the system is still somewhat rooted in Marxism. Trump is just taking the US into full bore fascism. So many of the comparisons of the Chinese and Trumpist approaches are very superficial and missing a lot of nuance.

It’s a shift in policy I have personally been championing for over the past couple decades. Ever since the 08’ collapse I have felt the argument for state capitalism only ever grows in its validity. The only concern is if the government is taking stakes that will actually pay out over the long term rather than ones that offer short term profit. The reason China has been successful in it’s goals is because they are broad and planned out for generations to come rather than the short sighted investment America is good at that often leaves critical infrastructure in varying forms of disarray.

>Trump is doing this and it’s so inevitable you can’t stop it ever bro omg!
At this point I have to believe most of these articles are actively trying to help facilitate this nonsense by attempting to remove hope while teaching learned helplessness
