Who could have seen that one coming? Its not like Trump outright said “I’m going to put Tariffs on everything” while everyone warned that it would increase prices.

It will never not make me laugh that “high prices” was the biggest reason he got re-elected. Its just sad that Trump didn’t even totally lie(he said it wouldn’t increase prices but apart from that he was honest about what he was going to do) and people couldn’t even be bothered to google or believe actual economists who contradicted him.

This dude did a press conference in front of a pile of groceries and it actually convinced people that he was going to make everything less expensive.

Come on!! This is ridiculous. Biggest hike in 2 years? It would be legit if it said something like biggest hike in 25 years, but in a couple years? Nah. Move on.

And all you hear from the Trump voters are crickets. It’s just amazing how they can filter all of this out.

The stronghold that Donald has over the brains of every Trump voter is truly astonishing.

I’m no longer surprised by how Jim Jones managed to convince 917 people to kill themselves.

“Prices will come down. You just watch. They’ll come down and they’ll come down fast.”

“Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods.”

“Groceries went through the roof and I campaigned on that. I talked about the word ‘groceries’ for a lot, and energy costs now are down. Groceries are down.”
