I'm not surprised they're falling. I'm just surprised how quickly it's happening.
Since I made a post here 2 weeks ago regarding Ubi stock prices, they have dropped from 8.92 euro to 8.36 euro. They were already worth pennies on the dollar, now even less… I know they are not a well liked corporation but wtf is causing such a sharp price exodus RN? I don't know of any major controversies that came up in that time since the last post.
Lemme know what you think though
Ubisoft stocks just keep freefalling

Beyond being bought out i dont see a road to recovery for them.
They have 0 good games except for rainbow six siege and even that game is going to die soon cause of the lack of content and cheaters and more. Assassins creed is the only reason it’s worth anything still
I think the sentiment is just that it will likely never grow again. Their reputation is completely ruined for gamers, which is a group that is very unlikely to forget. Everytime ubisoft or one of their games are even mentioned, you will see comments memeing about them forever, even tho their latest game was actually pretty decent it is not even considered by a very large group, simply because it is from Ubisoft.
ubisoft is bancrupt, and game industry is not hot anymore, so they are ded
I don’t think I have played any Ubisoft game since Rayman.
Other companies are just delivering far better games than Ubisoft. Guillemot is cooked. Bad technical choices, bad games => the end.
I’m not on the Ubisoft hate train. I actually played and enjoyed Star Wars Outlaws, but the tide is certainly against them as others say. The company seems pretty loathed and they don’t have a lot in the pipeline.
Suppose the risk might be at this stage that their IPs worth a salt could be sold off at which point they’d just be a shell of a company. Investor confidence in them is shattered it seems.
I play an Ubisoft game 3 times per day. Cheaters are now rampant, even in console, so the community is trying hard to not give them money since they suck.
Tencent holding was supposed to buy and rescue it, but not sure what happened with that.
6% is nothing to a stock like that. Not sure where you’re getting the idea that something needs to be out of the ordinary for a 6% drop in two weeks
Rayman 2 remaster will print money
Black Flag remake 📈
Ubisoft getting acquired is the only way the stock will fly, other than that, there’s really no telling.
Woke
Same answers as the last two posts, plus:
They had 3 big things in recent years, AC Shadow (most hyped game in the franchise), Star Wars (a franchise with a really big fandom that has proven to spend a lot of money in the franchise) and Avatar (a franchise that has also generated a lot of money)
All these 3 things were copy&paste of other things they had already made.
These 3 things failed, they don’t have any more bullets in the chamber, investors know it’s just a sinking ship so they are jumping off the board with a piece of the ship to keep them afloat.
Will just summarized what i said last time someone posted something similar.
Will keep free falling until they cut people or releases game. They have been cutting on infra costs successfully for the past 2 years, i assume we are nearing the end of that phase. Once infra reduction is done, i expect layoffs in studios outside of France with some heavy pressure in France for certain people to leave.
Then, next year, lots of there flagship stuff is suppose to come out (PoE remake, new Far Cry, etc). This will be the momment of truth if Ubisoft is still relevant. If they follow through all what i just said and the games sell gangbuster, i expect stock price next year to reach somewhere 15 and 20$. If they don’t do what i just said, this is not the bottom, not even close.
Their games are dogshit, bloated, unfun and disrespectful to cultures. Their management are idiots. Their executives are convinced that games for everybody are in fact a good strategy ( it’s not) aaaand if that’s not all, their owners wanna sell out or did sell out to China.
Their best product, R6Siege has a skeleton crew, and disgusting slop like AC shadows have armies that can’t possibly make good ROI.
They couldn’t possibly fumble the bag more even if they went door to door and spat in the face of anybody who bought their games ever.
I’m genuinely *shocked* that they’re still a functioning company.
Maybe they need to release a AAAAA game.
I’m also surprised, even more with all the games they have in the making, some of them appealing to the nostalgic gamer, to mention some for the next 2 years: The Division 3, new Far Cry, new AC (Hexe I think?), new Rainbow Six, remake of Prince of Persia, Beyond Good and Evil 2 (big doubt at this point), remake of Splinter Cell, remake of AC Blag Flag (don’t know if confirmed), new Rayman, Anno is going to be released soon (I know, these last two are niche).
I don’t think the sentiment will be the same as few years ago, but I don’t know, Shadows wasn’t bad at all and they are taking their time for every single game I mentioned. Also, Tencent put a lot of money on them, I don’t think it was to throw it away.
Not a short time investment, but for a long one might be interesting.
Everyone being bearish kinda makes me want to open a position.
The stock will be worthless if the nepo babies aren’t all fired.
Tencent will buy them if the stock drops a lot.
profit margin: – 8.7%
quarter earnings growth (YoY): – 54%
This is the very definition of trying to catch a falling knife.
Why wouldn’t it keep falling? There is very little confidence in the company, and not many people are going to take the risk that they’ll be able to come out with a game to turn things around. Shadows, although doing alright in sales, still massively under-performed what it needed to sell in order to save the company.
Investors aren’t going to look at that and feel confident buying shares.
I thought pulling support for already paid for DLC was supposed to help the share price…
Just glancing at the stock, they have a ton of debt, that concerns me.
Can you name any cool titles from Ubisoft these past 10 years?
Assassins Creed is old now.
Ubisoft just sold some of their IPs to Atari. Yes, Atari.
Apparently you are not a gamer
Couldn’t have happened to a better company.
It’s a publicly traded family business, and fundamentally, not a very good one.
I have absolutely no dog in this fight and I don’t own the stock. But I have been a pretty avid gamer for my entire life.
Their games suck ass and have sucked for >10 years now. The brand Ubisoft has almost no value at this point.
They are the Disney of video game development.
Prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion over making quality games.
At least they’ve got Rainbow 6 Siege.
