There are a million stories here about how an 11 year old roof needs to be replaced in order to continue insurance coverage. Insurance coverage and policy is locale specific. What states/municipalities have these restrictive roofing age requirements? Google didn't have a good answer.

Where are 10+year old roofs required to be replaced?

There’s no requirements in writing for any municipality. It just depends on the insurance company. If your insurance thinks your roof is too old to renew your policy, they will require you put on a new roof. An 11 year old roof shouldn’t be considered old unless it had some damage and someone inspected it and it was not up to par. It could also depend on the materials used on your rood ex. a tile roof will usually last longer than a shingle, or a flat.
