Problem is if he made $190m, he’s got $170m of profit (minus any costs) and $20m to buy a pardon, and the SEC will be told to not touch a thing, so legal or not… it’s bribe-legal.
I mean it’s not like the man doesn’t loudly tell everyone what he’s going to do.
No one is going to do anything. At least not when certain people stand to benefit.
Yes there’s been a ton this year. This was the most public example though. Literally every time some tariffs news was coming someone somewhere would load up on just the most regarded leveraged position before hand without fail. Earlier in the year folks with a Bloomberg would call these out in the equity markets. This one though was just shameless
