For a teenage entrepreneur selling homebaked goods, what’s the best way to allow customers to preorder?
Website?
App?
Something else?
Are there free services out there? If not, which one is the best value? Or do we make our own?
Best way to take preorders?

Google forms
Start simple. A free Google Form or Typeform linked from your social pages works great for preorders, especially if you’re just starting. You can collect names, pickup times, and payments later in person or with something like Venmo.
Once orders start growing, that’s when it makes sense to set up a small website or use a tool like Square Online or Shopify Starter so people can pay ahead safely.
You might want a platform that handles everything. I’m a home baker myself and using [locallycaked.com](http://locallycaked.com) for this exact reason. It’s a marketplace designed to help bakers manage listings (preorders included), orders and connect with local customers. It’s absolutely free; there’s only ~5% fee per transaction when you make a sale.
