Hi folks, I don’t believe I’ve ever posted anything about Full Sail University before. I attended that school for a short time, then left, and ever since, I’ve been dealing with them regarding possible fraud—much like many others have.
Between the summer of 2023 and early January 2024 was the period I attended FSU. Since leaving, I’ve been receiving continuous letters from them about owed balances and similar issues. As of September 2025, my supposed owed balance was pushed to a collection agency called General Revenue Corporation (GRC for short). I received the notice on October 15th, 2025—several days after the contact deadline they listed.
I’ve since sent a correspondence back to them, along with a dispute/validation letter, requesting that the debt agency obtain and send me the complete disbursement record from the Department of Education showing what aid was actually sent to FSU. I’ve also asked FSU to provide records showing how much aid they applied to my account, an explanation for why I never received the refund portion of the excess aid (roughly $4,000 missing), and proof that they did not misappropriate my Title IV funds.
I ended the letter by stating that, without this documentation, the debt collection appears fraudulent and is based on Full Sail’s theft of my federal student aid.
I also plan to contact a law firm that handles these kinds of cases, submit another complaint on StudentAid.gov, file a CFPB complaint, and send a formal complaint to the Department of Education’s Office of Inspector General. As this progresses, I plan to share whatever information I’m legally able to so others can be aware.
