It used to be I would just buy the cheapest or off brand, but I'm finding some issues with canned goods lately (in US).
I've bought Black Beans a couple different brands and they were crunchy, one time I got a half full can. Opened a can of tuna and something smelled wrong. Canned pumpkin I bought recently was kinda bad. I've also noticed issues with cans, some are thinner and dent more easily so I have to check them carefully. I've seen multiple times where it looked like the cans have some kind of sealant on them and it had applied unevenly.
Any brands or stores you guys recommend that seem consistently good?
Have you changed brands or where you buy canned goods do to quality changes?

I have yet to have issues with Aldi canned goods. Beware at Save a Lot; some of those are bulging right on the shelf at the local place.
Where are you buying yours?
I don’t have any problems with Aldi brand.
Sometimes I’ll buy a brand name if it’s on sale, especially green beans. Walmart green beans are gross, and grey.
Some of Walmart canned goods aren’t all that bad, though. We like their “homestyle” soups, especially the loaded potato one, for if we’re too sick to cook, or just want a real quick lunch.
If you have a Giant Eagle nearby, their canned foods are pretty good. Even better than Walmart.
Haven’t noticed any difference in quality.
The only canned I have is Goya light salad chick peas, Amy’s light soup and starkest or bumblebee in water whichever on sale
