I’m doing a series to show that LN (or any L2) is not the scaling solution everyone is telling you it is. I get a lot of hate for this. But I got even more hate when I tried to explain to people why LN must fail to scale Bitcoin. So I will continued this series until I run out of screenshots.
Oh and because people ask what is the solution? The solution is to scale the base layer and yes it is possible. Check out Bitcoin Cash.
Edit: Something I found interesting about this post is that she is as far as I know a westerner but $14 is already her red line for managing LN channels. So let me give you a few number where onchain fees are expected to be in the future:
– ~100$ to replace the block reward of this halfing
– ~1000$ are expected by Core Devs
– Saylor said he has no problems paying $300,000.- for a tx to move his millions.
