To keep this short, I joined an insurance company to become an insurance agent and after attending orientation for it, I felt nervous/uneasy. I did not know if it was just a normal feeling that everyone has starting something new OR if my gut instincts were telling me NO NO NO!
During the Orientation, the person that recruited had their mentor there and he mentioned that he recruited 4,900 people all across the US and still is. (I think he earns money from all of them! But he did not mention this.) He also drew out a picture and it literally had people under me. He started by asking me if I knew people in my life and to tell them about this business opportunity to be your own boss.
Another thing that made me very like WHAT THE… was when the mentor TRIED TO SELL ME AN INSURANCE PLAN RIGHT AWAY. HE was convincing me with this plan and mind you I am 18 and barely know nothing about insurance. Yes the plan made sense, but trying to sell it to me as of this MOMENT?! He probably thought since I was young that he could make a profit right then and there.
I Pretty Sure I Am In A Pyramid Scheme!

Most life insurance sales is. They’ll get you to burn through your family and friends network for leads and then if you can’t make your number cold calling your out the door and they’ve got new customers.
Not a Ponzi scheme because you’re selling a legit (if overpriced) financial product but definitely a ~~pyramid~~ reverse funnel 🤣
You are 100% right it’s a pyramid scheme.
Tell Primerica we said hi, then quit.
Run. Don’t go back.
Primerica or Symmetry? Good thing you saw the red flags!
