PR Agency owner here that's been doing entrepreneurial stuff for about 20 years. These aren't things that they teach you in school, just mindset stuff that helped me a lot philosophically. Feel free to chime in or let me know if your lived experiences are different.

Build the audience before bringing the product/service to market. Having 10 people READY to buy on launch day is a great feeling.
-
Give away "what" and sell "how" (THIS ONE IS HUGE)
-
Don't be scared to price things at what you can't afford. (This one is also very important, don't let your limited poverty beliefs make you forget that there are a LOT of wealthy people out there)
-
Experts sell to a niche market, scumbag gurus sell to everyone stupid enough to buy from them
-
You'll get a LOT more media interviews if you have 3 good talking points and at least three interviews searchable online (start with podcasts, a press release, and a YT interview if you're new.)
-
If you are just here to make money, go be a fucking investment banker. If you want to be a true entrepreneur, focus on a problem you can solve and you'll have sales all day
-
Never cold pitch. I don't give a shit what Grant Cardone tells you. Sales come from connection and trust. Spend more time having conversations vs getting blocked.

If you sell goods, use IG, TT, and Pinterest, you need picture based apps. If you sell services, use FB and LI, you need conversational based apps. X can be used as an amplifier for both.

Bonus: Most gurus are popular, not talented. This will hurt a lot of feelings out there, but I dont care. 70% of these guys have never actually run a business. They either use rented wealth items for get rich quick, or they went viral with a bullshit story and ran with it. Be careful who you buy from.
