Our trusted trade partners in the North. Helped us in wars. I’m so sorry we failed you Canada by electing this idiot who wants to send the US back 200 years and forsake all bonds of fellowship. I’m sorry for everything *crying Bilbo noises*

Oh fuck me.
Can you morons that voted for this at least stop the bleeding and start telling your reps to grow a motherfucking backbone and utilize their legislative powers to stop this shit? Please?

The rest of the world’s strategy is just wait until the US has a real credible Government again before bothering to negotiate with it. Why would anyone rational bother to negotiate with a President who just violated the existing trade agreement you already had with his Country?

Just doing everything he can to screw farmers. Canada was the largest supplier of potash for fertilization by leaps and bounds. This is going to hurt red states the most, but his base isn’t smart enough to realize it.

As a US citizen, please, just ignore us. We are not worth the effort it takes to even try to negotiate with our idiot in chief. We are trying to get him out, we know he’s a tyrant and a fascist. We are SO sorry!!! Signed someone who didn’t vote for this shit.

My dad lost part of his skull and was blinded in one eye because he volunteered to fight in WWII…he’d probably lose the other side of his skull (if he was alive today) with unmitigated horror and self destruct if he knew that a similar NAZI-type regime was coagulating south of Canada right now. RIP pops…you fought the good fight and I sincerely hope and pray it was not all in vain.

Prior to this administration, Canada was a loyal trade partner with the United States. Unfortunately, elections have consequences even for the people who didn’t vote with the winning candidate.

America has elected a toddler as president. It is impossible to play chess with pigeons, as they say. It is time for Canada to focus elsewhere. This is bad news for border cities like mine (Windsor) but it’s time to face reality.

No, he’s throwing a tantrum because he’s not getting is way.
Call it what it is – an elected official fucking your country because he doesn’t like being told no.

Lmao.
So I guess next Tuesday we will back to negotiations? I swear each time I read the news I found myself confused on whether or not we were in negotiations? Or were we not? Jeez at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if tomorrow morning I read that the negotiations have been finalized at this rate.

If I was a foreign adversary and wanted to destroy the United States, I would have done everything that Trump has done.
It isn’t Trump’s whims here, he has handlers actively feeding Trump what to do to destroy the US. Trump isn’t competent enough to be doing what he is doing so precisely

The “most powerful man in the world” literally throwing a hissy fit publicly because he didn’t like a commercial criticizing his policies…and eliminating trade with our closest ally as his temper tantrum.
This is 2025.

First of all, to stop trade negotiations you actually have to be negotiating.
Randomly announcing new tariffs every few days, saying you will do it our way and insulting Canada is not negotiating.
It’s fine. Canada has their feet up, a bucket of popcorn and a Canadian beer in hand as we watch the US tear itself apart and the King tear down the White House for us this time.

But to be clear, Reagan, and every other republican (up until 2024), was steadfastly against tariffs and would be abhorred by our current trading policy.

Canada and South Korea should focus on developing nuclear weapons. Whether Trump is President or not, America in unstable and cannot be relied upon. South Korea’s need is obvious, but Canada must also confront a future where the USA is willing to seize their land and resources by force. A nuclear arsenal is the only way to guarantee both nations survival.

Strange to recall that in the 1980’s the Conservative parties were the ones big on free trade, zero-tariff zones and the Liberals opposed it. The leftist New Democrats in Canada were the biggest opponents.

As an American, I’ll happily spend my money in Canada. Vancouver is just a few hours north and I’m planning a trip to Montreal next year. Definitely no red state vacations for me.

But what happened to 90 deals in 90 days? The supreme Court needs to do everybody a favor including their favorite guy in the White House and say that these tariffs are illegal. I know they don’t have much interest in checking him on his power but they’re only hurting themselves.
Imaging the Trump admin spending money to run ads in Canada supporting Alberta’s secession. LOL. It’s a habit of that point. Canadians and Europeans think they have a say in American politics, like before the elections, they have no reservation saying this prefer this candidate or that candidate. That’s not wise, come on!

And here we go again. Ffs, Americans, vote for anything else in the next election.
Note: I said anything. A sack of potatoes would make a better service for your country.

And all over a tantrum he’s having about free speech. He can’t stand for people to see a true historical document of Ronald Reagan speaking against tariffs. So instead, he’s having a big fat childish tantrum that’s going to destroy American farms and ruin our economy even more. I just cannot believe we have sunk this low. It’s pathetic.
