I run a small web design agency and I’m trying to figure out how important personal branding really is for growth.
I’m not interested in being super public online I’d rather focus on operations, systems, and client work. My co-founder is more comfortable being public and has a bit more personality for content.
My question is: do you think an agency can still scale to 6 or 7 figures if I stay off camera and let my co-founder be the face of the business? Or is it necessary for both founders to build personal brands these days

i don’t think that building a personal brand is necessary for scaling the web design agency. plenty of agencies have grown to 6-7 figures purely by showcasing great work. still, having a personal brand can definitely give that extra boost.
