So we had an ice storm, my 2009 seadoo challenger 230 430hp windshield got broken, we fought for weeks to get a durveyor etc , and were told we have a navigation ban and cannot ride our boat all season (Ontario can) then. They told me I had to find the glass, almost did and no bueno fighting against a 700$ deductible to do so. And being told I have to find it. Also tried saying go ahead with plexi for three windshields, no bueno.
Finally they said ok, you can buy it back, we will tell you the highest bid and if you bid more you can get the write off 20k plus the boat back at the bid. DURING THE BIDDING ONE BUYER SAID I HAVE THE GLASS. Then insurance said : you can either fix it or write it off with no buyback. Is this reneging on their deal? I requested the same deal, OBVIOUSLY because I’d buy back my boat at 5k and write it at 20k. And do what I please with no insurance on a 5k boat.
Looking possibly for legal advice.
Why must we pay this much for insurance to be left with theese options. We fought all season to pay the deductible and fix the glass. Now we’re being told after a BETTER option was given we’re stuck with (hey you go find it yourself turned into we found it on auction.)
