Michael Saylor Latest Update on Bitcoin Price
There’s no upper limit to the Bitcoin buying spree of Michael Saylor and Microstrategy. These are the words uttered in his powerpoint presentation to investors, Microstrategy Investor Day 2021. Saylor started off the presentation by informing investors that his highly profitable Microstrategy software business is alive and well, but it wasn’t long until Saylor went into talking about his Treasury strategy, aka Bitcoin. Being that this presentation was for investors opposed to a generic interview, Saylor went into greater detail about the structure of his Bitcoin holdings. Showing that there is a Macro-Strategy in which he holds a healthy amount of unencumbered Bitcoin. But the structure of how he holds his Billions worth of Bitcoin isn’t of too much interest, especially to the retail investor. While Bitcoin has been trading sideways, yet it is globally recognized that we are in a high inflationary environment…. The real question everyone wants answered is, “if Bitcoin is a hedge against inflation, and we all know inflation is here, why isn’t the Bitcoin price increasing?”
Saylor’s long term conviction on Bitcoin’s price can be of comfort to many who are anxious about the sideways action. Saylor’s confidence in the Bitcoin price is because of what he sees coming with the institutional adoption and all of the future applications of the coin.
