I keep hearing successful people say that success is "all mental," about mindset, perspective, and thinking differently. But honestly, it's not that easy. You can tell yourself to "think bigger" or "change your mindset," but actually doing it feels like trying to rewire your brain.

I’ve been wondering if certain books helped people make that mental shift early on, something that actually clicked for them, not just motivational fluff.

So I’m curious: what’s a book that millionaires, billionaires, or even just successful people often say helped them think differently and build their success early on?

What’s a book that millionaires and billionaires often credit with helping them succeed early on?

Well I don’t think anyone here is a millionaire lol, but you can learn all the technical and operational skills you need as you go – these are very specific to your field and could never be covered by any single book. My opinion is that it’s best to focus on people skills. 95% of the interactions you will have as a business owner are not about how smart you are, it’s about how affable and considerate you are. If you haven’t read How to Win Friends And Influence People yet, you have to!! Read it and actually take notes, and see how you can replace the bad communication habits in your life with the good ones from the book.

Oh boy this is gonna be littered with AI bots recommending books.

“I can’t believe no one is mentioning * insert book title * it was a complete game changer.”

    3. Not sure which one Elon read but it’s working…
Get hated on for last couple of years…Screw up twitter, drag Tesla in the mud with his white house nazi antics – then shareholders throw 1 trillion at him and give him a standing ovation.

      I need that BOOK.

    4. Books too boring

I go to YouTube and just search things

“How to increase my sales to 1,000,000 a year”

“How to streamline my sales process to increase revenue”

      Thouuuusssssaaaaannnnnndssss of videos

Can also ask your ai bot of choice

Books take months to years to write, edit, promote, publish, distribution, etc

Self publish, ebook, sell direct – you’ll be a millionaire by book 3

    5. I’d say read the laws of your industry DEEPLY. Dont read the laws like theyre something you should follow. Read them to know what the consequences of breaking them are. Be willing to pay those consequences. If environmental pollution or illegal importation of rare fish is fines and only if caught? Notice most ultra wealthy people are not moral in thier wealth accumulation.

Only two books have transformed my career, and neither of them are business books.

      They are:

      – *Getting things Done* by David Allen
      – *Never Split The Difference* by Chris Voss

    7. Rich Dad Poor Dad, for me that was a particularly good one. For financial literacy in general I’d recommend it

    8. Glad you brought this up. “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill is a classic that many successful people mention. It focuses on mindset and goal-setting, which seem crucial for success. Have you read it, or are there any other titles that have stood out to you?

    9. In Tribe of Mentors by Tim Ferris, one of the questions he asked everyone he interviewed was which book have you given away more than any others and it’s full of lots of interesting suggestions from legit successful types. Never the kind of things most would push given the topic, but things like Atlas Shrugged or Man’s search for meaning come up a bit. Lots of texts about behavior and psychology
