Little companion to my post about switching to dishwasher powder.

The pickle jar I’d repurposed to store the powder isn’t big enough to just drop the measuring spoons into and comfortably reach into grab. Also, dishwasher powder is bad for your skin. I wanted a simple and cheap way to keep the measuring spoons a part of the system.

I cut off a slice of a branch, drilled a string hole and used a forstner bit to glue a magnet flush to attach to the metal jar lid.

Cost of labor: roughly twenty minutes.

    1. OK I saw the other post, but what are the spoons for? I couldn’t tell how much you were using per load. Are you using less than the little compartment in the door takes? Is it like doing laundry, where you can really use half as much detergent recommended and get your clothes just as clean?

    2. I put a rubber band around my instant coffee and keep the spoon stuck in there. I feel like a genius every time I use it. This idea is cool.
