I can’t afford my usual detangler (eva nyc 10 in 1 mane magic) because it is ridiculously expensive and I’m tired of my hair feeling knotted and sticky.
I know some people mix conditioner and hot water, but that just hasn’t worked for me. It just makes my hair feel heavy and greasy and still leaves it fairly tangled.
Does anyone know of any affordable detanglers that don’t leave your hair feeling chunky? Or are there DIY options with affordable materials? Help please
Affordable or DIY hair detanglers?

Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker has performed better than expected for me. Big bottle under $10. I have very fine, curly hair.
I use it like a leave in conditioner.
Mane and tail. It works, doesn’t weight my fine, straight hair down and is only around $5 a bottle.
Johnson’s Kids Hair Condtioning Spray. Smells good, works good, doesn’t leave my hair feeling crispy and crunchy.
I’ve been using Pantene spray leave in conditioner. 6/7 bucks at Walmart.
