SNAP is a lifeline for workers in low-wage jobs.
Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.
Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.
Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Yes, we should pay workers but we never talk about what is needed to pay these workers more – price increase. On the one hand, we agree workers need to be paid more and then on the other hand we freak out when we see inflation. We need to make up our minds, do we want to pay people or do we want the lowest price? Both things cannot happen together.
I reckon people will say cut CEO pay and give it to the workers!! Ok, let’s math. Amazon CEO’s yearly compensation is $40M. If we take the entire compensation and distributes it to the 1.17M employees that are in operations, fulfillment, retail stores, and services; each person would get $34. Thirty. Four. Bucks.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t care if CEO pay gets slashed, but it does not solve anything. The only way to pay workers more is to increase the price of products.
