So my wife was in a minor non moving accident in the parking lot. Her door got caught on a windy day and hit the cars door next to hers. She gave the person her insurance information talked to the claims adjuster the person filed a claim with her insurance and it seemed like it was closed (hopefully) now the other driver is texting her asking for more money because they are saying it won’t be enough. I’m telling her she needs to refer him to the adjuster because that seems like something they oughta handle. Just making sure I’m not talking crazy. This is a door scuff and minor dent not a not anything crazy here.

You don’t need to talk to this person at all. Refer them to your insurance with any further questions.
She shouldn’t be talking to the other person (block), she should only be dealing with the insurance.
Yes, insurance is involved and should be the only point of context at this point
If it’s being handled by insurance, there’s no reason your wife should be giving them any more money.
“Please contact my insurance company if you have any further inquiries, thank you” and then block them.
>I’m telling her she needs to refer him to the adjuster
That’s where you are wrong.
She doesn’t refer him to her adjuster.
She emails her adjuster to report the additional demand to her adjuster.
