Economist Justin Wolfers summed up Donald Trump’s latest boasts about the economy as “just nonsense.”
“My kids don’t even lie that often,” the professor of economics at the University of Michigan lamented on MS NOW’s “The Weekend.”
Wolfers called out Trump’s claim that the United States is “taking in trillions of dollars in tariff revenue,” and he argued it’s because the president doesn’t understand the difference between millions, billions and trillions.
