What do folks think about executive order 14330 by the Trump administration?
Based on my knowledge of private investments, those would have no place in my 401k or IRA accounts. Here are my reasons:
– Private investments are illiquid
– They are less regulated compared to public markets
– They have high investment fees
– Asset valuations of these are very subjective compared to public investments
– In the last couple of years, the venture capitalists and buyout companies have generally underperformed the S&P 500
– They will include investments in crypto
For these reasons, I am staying away from them. But I am interested in learning what other folks think.

Great way to end up destitute. Stay clear like you’re already planning on doing.
Any decent PE opportunity will be snatched up by insiders, what makes it through that first filter will be underperforming garbage to be dumped on the likes of you and me.
Folks in P.E. are having a terrible go at as of late.
What better way to cash in than use the masses as exit liquidity?
