I don't know who Satoshi Nakamoto really was. Nobody does. That's kind of the point. But I know this: whoever he was, he understood something profound about power and money and human nature. He understood that you can't fix a system from the inside when the system is working exactly as intended. You have to build something new. Something separate. Something that can't be captured or corrupted or controlled.

Then you have to walk away from it, because the moment it has a leader is the moment it can be killed.

That's the real story here. Not the technical innovation—impressive as it is—but the human choice. Someone created something revolutionary and then deliberately made themselves irrelevant to its survival. In a world of narcissists and empire-builders, someone chose anonymity and powerlessness.

It’s not really a big secret. It’s Paul Le Roux. People who were into security and encryption software way back would probably have the least doubts about that. He’s a genius, but the intention with what we now call “bitcoin” was to safely move incredible amounts of “dirty” money worldwide. And just when Paul got arrested, “Satoshi” miraculously disappeared forever. I just hope he gets out of prison alive, he’ll have some stories to tell, for sure.
