Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a project I’m really passionate about: an app that uses AI to understand people’s hobbies and interests to help them find compatible friends.

The twist is, I’m building in a reward system to incentivize meeting new people in real life. Essentially, we reward you for being social!

The question for the community: In a world full of social apps, do you think there's a strong market for a platform that leverages AI to focus solely on quality, hobby-based friendships and actively rewards you for expanding your social circle?

I’d love to hear your thoughts, concerns, and what would make you download an app like this!

    1. For starters, I love your idea. I worry that people are becoming more and more closed to new ideas labeled with ‘ai’ because it can easily feel gimmicky. Likely not an issue, but it’s possible that details like that could make/break your user gain early on, which obviously you need to have a matching pool big enough to find everyone good matches. Just make sure that your ai integration is necessary and justifies the cost. It’s possible that you don’t need ai to do this matching, which is great: it saves you a ton of money. Do you think you need ai or is it redundant?
