It’s a real shame about the nerf. I even planned on signing up for Arcadia Solar because of the elevated cashback.

However, I’m looking at the base non-paid benefits and it looks like it still has a place in my sock drawer? Correct me if I’m wrong.

    My use case:
5% cash-back on utilities, up to $25 monthly.
1% cash-back on T-Mobile phone bill, which takes debit card only for the discount to work.

I’ll need to top up at least once a month to pay my bills, but that could be automated, I guess.

    Futurecard still slightly viable?

    1. Barely. Each case is personal.

Worth it for me. Just my electric bill and rent(1%) nets me $12 back per month. A few bucks here and there for public transportation.

A couple of one time deals got me $15 back on my Visible phone bill, but that will be no more.

If enough don’t buy into their new “Future Pass”, they probably won’t be around much longer.

    2. Nominally unlimited 1% on Visa debit is competitive, if niche and not particularly exciting. It’s not really worth having to top up or leaving money in a non-interest-bearing fintech account, though.
