Hey everyone,
With the new changes to the USBAR, I wanted to add my DPs into the mix for those of you on the fence:
-
I called in today, and then chatted after to confirm, whether or not we can double dip on the $325 travel portal credit if we already used the $325 travel/dining credit. I was told that because I had used the full $325 dining/travel credit, I had used all of my credit allowance until the next cardmember year. Essentially, we cannot double-dip, according to the reps I spoke with.
-
Secondly, I was able to PC to the Altitude Connect. If you recall, I was offered a 10k point retention bonus last month. The points just hit today (29 days after the AF was posted on 11/16). I will get these points paid out as a statement credit, and the annual fee refunded, according to the rep I spoke with. So, we can supposedly keep any retention bonuses and still get the AF refunded.

The PC offers I had were the Altitude Connect, Smartly, and Go. None of the others were offered.

So you got the $325 credit, the 10k points, and the AF refunded?
I would be happy to downgrade to the Altitude Connect. I still have until March to decide. Hopefully we will know more by then.
no product change and no retention offer here ;_; I did get my last 325 credit out though
I was denied PC over the phone yesterday. Talked all the way up through managers. They had no override option.
My AF hit 12/3
When I PC’d mine 2 weeks ago, I went in telling them I wanted a Cash+ and they just said sure and made it happen. I don’t know what options I would have been offered had I not gone in with a plan.
Just pc’d to smartly yesterday
Refunding annual fee as others had stated
Got my 325 in credits used
No retention but didn’t really ask, just wanted a no fee card to keep credit age building up
