Hi Entrepreneurs,

I’m a guy who started over 9 side projects, pretty big ones in terms of effort.

My first got 300 users and 20 usd total revenue
My second was actually profitable, with over 2700 users and was operated in 2 big cities.

I know exactly biggest mistake that I make, it’s starting project without validating idea, and not planning 2 years ahead. Unfortunately nobody taught me that lesson, I learned myself with a huge price of my precious time.

Now I’m really having a dilemma, I have an app that I reasonable validated, and have a plan.
But I’m so much hesitant, should I keep going.
And I need some top tier advice from someone experienced.

My app is clarifies, fixes grammar and translates to over 100 languages seamlessly in any app using keyboard extension (iOS only)
Apple Intelligence new updates actually solved the main problem in a very nice way. But I’m providing much more flexible tool anyway.
I know market is huge, but I still feel Apple can destroy my app at any moment.

Deep down I feel, that I want to keep working on it, but I’m scared of wasting time.

I appreciate if you read till the end, please let me know what you think, no matter how harsh it would be

Should I continue or stop with my app?

There will always be competitors no matter what idea you have. If you don’t go for it now, when will you?

    2. Cool app idea! Also nice to see you already have a bunch of users. Like someone else already mentioned, you’ll always have competitors. But that’s fine, right? To put it positively, it’s good motivation to keep improving so you’re ahead of the rest.

Anyway, I’m an Android user, so I might be wrong but big corporations might suddenly fix any issue if they feel like they have to. As an ex-developer, my experience is that these types of things always get patched along the way.

Is this app your main focus right now? Because it might be a good idea to diversify a bit here. Like you already mentioned, Apple may make your app obsolete at any time. Making it a risk to be dependent on only this app. But it might also take a year or longer. Making it a nice extra. To me it feels like the time to make sure the current app just runs smoothly if it’s not weeks of work and look into an alternative. If you’re lucky, you can use the current app (store page?) to advertise your next idea giving you a head start.

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket if there’s a lot of risk involved! I wish you the best with your ventures!
